Dr Steve Simister (Managing director of Oxford Management & Research) is one of the editors for the Gower Handbook of Project management 3rd ed. The handbook is available in CD form with each chapter being an Adobe Acrobat file. Unfortunately there is no navigation system included on the CD. For instance you have to open chapter 32.pdf if you want to read the chapter on Contract law.

We have developed a web based browser for the CD. The browser provides a user friendly navigation system with the names of all the chapters arranged in a menu format in the left hand window and the Adobe Acrobat files being viewed in the right hand window. To use the browser you will need the CD of the Gower handbook and a web browser such as Netscape or MS Internet Explorer. The download contains a file called 'readme' which provides instructions on its use.

This download is offered on a good will basis and, as with any software, care should be taken during installation to avoid your existing computer configuration being compromised.
